Below are the downloads for the “Transitioning to Silverlight” presentations that were given at the Iowa Code Camp on May 1, 2010 and TechFuse on May 6, 2010.
This code is the code that was created for the presentation, with no comments or instructions included. So if you didn’t attend one of the events, it probably won’t mean much. The goal of this presentation was to create an introduction to binding and notification in Silverlight, using the core concepts in MVVM. This project did not use any of the advanced project templates and is not what you would call a “model” of how to build a complete Silverlight application by any stretch of the imagination. So, don’t take this and start your own application from it. You should use this application only for reviewing what was discussed in the presentation.
There was also a brief demonstration the considerations for using different layout containers, which likely isn’t evident from the UI, other than an apparent lack of “organization” in the UI.
